ICPF’s updated Corrugated Industry Curricula is here! Five brand new video modules, complete with interactive lessons and quizzes, as well as our additional resources, are available for incorporation into your lessons and courses. In addition to the videos and resources below, you’ll find a transcript of each module available in ICPF’s Google Drive to use as you organize and build your lessons. Please use any/all of the information as an opportunity to educate students on the corrugated packaging industry and the many benefits and opportunities that exist from choosing a #CareerInCorrugated.

Module 1: Introduction to the Corrugated Packaging Industry
Welcome to ICPF’s updated Corrugated Industry Curricula! Here you’ll learn about the corrugated packaging industry, what it stands for, a box’s journey from raw material to end product, and available careers. This video will cover the many advantages of corrugated packaging, including versatility, sustainability, and more.
Module 2: Prioritizing Sustainability
In Module 2, we’ll explore the impact of corrugated packaging’s role as a renewable resource, highlighting the industry’s commitment to sustainability throughout every stage of box production, usage, and end-of-life. This includes an overview of recycling rates and other environmental metrics monitored by life cycle assessments.
Module 3: A Box’s Journey Part 1 – From Papermaking to Converting
In Module 3, we’ll learn about the steps of box production, from harvesting fiber to making containerboard, while outlining different paper grades, types of plants, machinery on the plant floor, specifications of corrugated materials, and more.

Module 5: Careers in Corrugated
Congratulations! You’ve reached the end of our curricula. In the final module, we’ll cover the corrugated packaging industry’s culture, values and goals and provide you with an overview of the diverse job opportunities across the industry. The curricula concludes with information and next steps about how to engage with more ICPF resources to find a career in corrugated, so be sure to engage with the other resources housed on our website.
